Envisioned as an “Institute without walls,” the International Institute for Social Artistry (IISA) offers a variety of outstanding programs, such as:

  • Innovative Leadership for Decentralised Governance Programme IISA provides faculty for international training programs sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) (www.undp.org).  The first training program was piloted successfully in Albania in February 2004.  Future programs are being planned for Panama, Barbados, Brazil, the Philippines and China.  The purpose is to develop social leadership for addressing pressing needs in four to six countries per year.  An infrastructure of local offices, staffed by locally trained social artists will support and continue the programs initiated by the UNDP-sponsored training.  Click here to download Fact Sheet

Social Artistry Network — An ongoing community for social
artists including discussion groups in specific areas of social artistry, teaching conference calls with Jean Houston, one-on-one mentoring with experienced social artists, and the social artistry list serve for communication and knowledge sharing. Contact: Lisa Nelson – lnelson@csupomona.edu
